The Anvil

The Anvil is a concert hall and theatre in Basingstoke, the largest performing arts organisation in Hampshire. It also runs The Haymarket and The Forge. It opened in 1994 and has a capacity of 1,400 seats.

It hosts a variety of events, including classical music, rock and pop, comedy, dance, opera, drama and family shows.

Known for its excellent acoustics and its distinctive shape, which resembles an anvil. It is home to the Basingstoke Symphony Orchestra and the Basingstoke Choral Society.

The Anvil has welcomed famous acts like The Proclaimers, Marti Pellow, Phil Wang, and Tom Allen, along with many others.
